Things happening in the workshop
Our workshop is busy making the large bay casement window for the front elevation of Dee House Chester.
Also they are making Four new sash windows for phase two at overdale Sandiway Cheshire.
We have been out to survey a property in Rhuddlan , Denbighshire , the property owner thought she needed two new windows , so we was happy to inform her that we can repair both windows significantly cheaper than replacements.
We also got called back to a nursing home in Denbigh that we priced about eighteen months ago and it looks like we may get the go ahead on this one too.

Update on major repairs to shell canopy Chester
This is the latest update on the shell canopy at Chester , Cheshire
Just to recap this is before and after pictures of both elevations.
The porch is looking good now it needs the painter to burn off the rest of the paintwork and new lead.
We have also been out to Bangor on Dee today to price for a very nice Victorian property in need of full rot repairs and draught proofing , a total of eighteen windows in all.
The workshop will be busy over the next month with new casement windows for Chester and new sash windows for overdale in Sandiway Cheshire

Major works restoring the georgian front door porch
As you can see this Georgian porch is in a dreadful state , this right hand gallows bracket is rotten to the core and all the decorative mouldings will have to be hand made as well as reproducing the rotten carved sections , and the other side of the porch is not much better.
Here are a few views of the major repairs taking place step by step
A huge wasps nest inside the porch , luckily it was empty.
Starting to dig out the rot its not looking good.
It was so rotten in the end we had to remove the bracket to get at all the rot
The repair begins , firstly we hand formed the three curves and then blend in with repair care epoxy resin
This is a huge hole through the top of the gallows bracket before and after
To be continued.

Another Cheshire window fully renovated
Just a few more pics of some renovation work at the old rectory Chester . This window is a later addition casement window that has rotted from the bottom up due to having a flush joint with the surrounding brickwork , making it impossible to achieve a sound mastic seal , hence water has penetrated over the years. We have removed all the rot and spliced in new sections and created a new dwarf cill bridging the flush joint and eliminating any future water ingress.
